When you are considering having an aesthetic procedure done, the MOST important thing to consider is WHO is doing the injecting. Here are a few guidelines for finding a good injector: - the injector will make sure that you have a consultation and exam by an NP, PA or MD before any procedure is done. This is a law. These products are medications and can only be ordered by providers who can prescribe. RNs in Indiana can do the injections and that is not a problem at all, but you must be seen first by a prescriber. So if you go to a party, or salon, or even a medspa and you never see a prescriber, that is a red flag 🚩. - the injector should be able to tell you a list of all the trainings they have done (should be numerous). Taking a 2 day course over a weekend is NOT enough training. 🚩 -the injector should discuss the risks of any procedure and should be able to tell you their protocols for any adverse events. -the injector should be willing to show you before and afters of THEIR work, not just general before and afters from their office. - the injector will not make you feel bad that you are asking these questions! You have many options for skin care, with more and more offices and solo injectors popping up daily. There are amazing injectors out there, but you need to do a little homework.

The most important #thyroid lab is your free T3. ⁣ Free T3 is the active form of thyroid hormone, and that mean it is the one that actually makes you feel better. Here's the bad news- most providers don't know to check your T3 levels. So they check your other levels (TSH and free T4) and tell you everything is fine.
